Republican gubernatorial candidate Gary Rabine is rejoicing over the Supreme Court decision to prohibit President Biden’s vaccine mandate.

“We won our lawsuit against the Biden/OSHA Vaccine Mandate at the US Supreme Court on 1/14/22 for a reason,” Rabine wrote on Facebook. “Because it is unethical, unconstitutional and illegal! When I win as your governor,  it will be against the law for any person in any job to be forced to take a vaccine. When I win, I will hire every good firefighter back with signing bonuses and I will fight to have a law put in place to never allow this kind of dictator overreach again.

Rabine also posted a link to a WGN report that focused on firefighters losing paychecks for not conforming to Chicago’s vaccine mandate with the article stating roughly 550 of the 4,800 firefighters were unvaccinated.

“Here's the deal. I was one of the founders of a great organization called Job Creators Network about 11-12 years ago. It was Bernie Marcus’ idea,” Rabine said. “He brought a few friends in, and a few CEOs to start it with him. I was one of those that that were in the beginning, as a board member, and still a member today and that organization has done some great things to fight terrible, you know, stupid regulation that kills jobs across America and this is the granddaddy of them all.”

Rabine said that when Biden passed the vaccine mandate he knew he had to take immediate action “because we knew that this was against our freedoms in America – there's no way small businesses like ours wanted to be the vaccine police to our employees.”

Prairie State Wire reported that Rabine has been outspoken about Gov. Pritzker's tenure, citing his handling of the pandemic and surging crime rates as disheartening.
