Alberta A. “Allie” Nykiel, nee Sherby, passed away at 97, joining her late husband Stan. She was a devoted mother to Yvonne, Stan, and Roch, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Allie will be remembered for her love and care for her family.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on July 19, 2025, at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to South Suburban Humane Society or P.A.W.S. Tinley Park are appreciated.

Allie’s memory will be honored through the love she shared with her family and her commitment to animal welfare. Expressions of condolences can be shared at colonialchapel.com.
