America’s Central Port announced on April 4 that it is seeking bids for a construction project to add a new restroom and lobby area to Warehouse 3B at its Granite City, Illinois facility.
The announcement outlines an upcoming opportunity for contractors to participate in the renovation of the warehouse. The work will involve demolishing the existing wood-partitioned hallway, rebuilding it with salvaged wood, and constructing new restroom and lobby spaces. The project location is listed as 1201 West 1st Street, Granite City.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. local time in the Board Room at America’s Central Port, located at 1635 West First Street. Contractors interested in submitting bids must attend this meeting. Questions about the project are due by Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m., and bids will be opened on Tuesday, May 5 at the same time and location as the pre-bid meeting.
The bid packet documents are available for download through America’s Central Port website. Project conditions include adherence to a Project Labor Agreement and compliance with prevailing wage rates set by Madison County.
