The Andrew Thunderbolts lost to the Lincoln-Way West Warriors 10–9 in a varsity girls softball conference game.

The matchup was closely contested, with both teams producing runs throughout the game. The Thunderbolts kept pace offensively, matching Lincoln-Way West with consistent run production and staying within reach in every inning. Timely scoring opportunities allowed Andrew to remain competitive, but the Warriors managed to hold on late to secure the one-run victory. Despite the loss, Andrew’s offensive effort and resilience were evident in the tightly contested game, according to MaxPreps.

The game took place on April 8 at Andrew High School, as reported by MaxPreps. Up next for Andrew is a conference game against Sandburg on April 13. The last time these teams met, Andrew defeated Sandburg 12–3 on May 9, 2025, at Sandburg High School, according to MaxPreps.

Victor J. Andrew High School serves grades 9 through 12 and had an enrollment of 2,246 students during the 2019-2020 school year. It is located in Orland Hills and Cook County, according to Illinois Report Card. Of those students, grade 10 had the highest concentration with 27.8 percent of all students enrolled that year; grade 12 accounted for 27.1 percent, grade 11 for 26.7 percent, and grade 9 for 27.3 percent of total enrollment.

According to the Illinois Report Card, Victor J. Andrew High School’s student body was composed of 73.5 percent white students, 4.8 percent black students, 12.9 percent Hispanic students, and 5.6 percent Asian students during the same period.
