Bailey posted a Facebook thanks to the “thousands of motivated volunteers across the state who continue to knock doors, make calls, and show up to support our movement”

Darren Bailey, a pro-life candidate for Illinois Governor, thanked his supporters in a June 20 Facebook post that also served as a call to voters to organize against incumbent Governor Pritzker.

“We are so thankful for our thousands of motivated volunteers across the state who continue to knock doors, make calls, and show up to support our movement. We are needing your help for a major push this Saturday. Will you help us fire Pritzker, reform Springfield and restore Illinois? Trafalgar Group, a polling and survey company that accurately predicted Trump’s 2016 victory, forecast that voters in Illinois are likely to support Bailey as a candidate for governor. “These results are because of you,” Bailey posted on Facebook. Bailey touted Trafalgar’s record on the Trump win.

Bailey publicly spoke out on issues like abortion and has proposed several public and government fixes to election integrity: an Election Integrity Task Force, a yearly evaluation of voter rolls, mail-in-ballot tracking for individual voters, a random audit of voter signatures on ballots, and required IDs for voters.

“Friends, it’s important that we ensure election integrity. The best way we can do that is by having trained poll watchers. Please sign up to join our Election Integrity Task Force. We have some great volunteers who will train you and ensure you can be successful in helping secure our elections,” Bailey posted on Facebook. Bailey directed people to his website for further information.

Bailey also spoke out against abortion rights and brandished his pro-life credentials. “When other candidates in this race are hiding and refusing to say where they stand, I’m proud to stand to protect life,” Bailey said on Facebook. “I am proudly pro-life and endorsed by every major pro-life group in the state. I have stated from the beginning that I would help and promote policies and groups that help empower women with real options and save lives.”

Long-time Republican donor Dick Uihlein contributed over $3.5 million to Bailey’s campaign in three donations, $2.5 million last year, $1 million in February, and $25,000 last week, the Sun-Times reported.
