The Bankruptcy Clerk’s offices in East St. Louis and Benton will close at 2:00 p.m. on April 27 due to forecasted storms, according to an announcement from the office.

The closure is a precautionary measure in response to expected severe weather conditions. The decision aims to ensure the safety of staff and the public.

All staff will continue their work remotely and remain available by phone during regular business hours. The office said normal operations are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, April 28 at 8:00 a.m.

This temporary change affects both locations equally, with no interruption anticipated for services provided by telework-capable employees.

Officials advise anyone needing assistance or information during this period to contact the office by phone as usual.
