Chicago – Battsengel Tsenge Gray, formerly of Mongolia, passed away in Chicago. She was the beloved wife of John, loving mother of Sarnai (Luke) Tessitore and Aleona (Felix) Sencion, and the devoted grandmother of Grace, Eleanor, Silverio, Sebastian, and Theodore.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12 noon until 3 pm at RICHARD J MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 12641 W. 143rd Street, Homer Glen.

Interment will be private.

Battsengel, known as Battsengel Choijinnyam Gray, was described as a graceful woman created in the hands of God. Her final breath was taken on Monday, September 29, after giving her heart completely to her husband, children, and grandchildren. As one of the first Mongolians to come to America, she brought with her bravery and talent. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love that will endure for eternity. May she rest in peace in heaven. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
