The Village of Tinley Park announced on May 8 that this year’s Benches on the Avenue public art display is now available for viewing along Oak Park Avenue in Downtown Tinley.

The annual event features handcrafted benches created by local artists, providing both seating and photo opportunities for visitors. This year’s theme, “Party in the USA,” celebrates America’s 250th birthday and invites residents and visitors to enjoy a patriotic stroll down Oak Park Avenue.

According to the announcement, the benches are designed to commemorate 250 years of American history and encourage community engagement. The organizers invite people to bring their cameras and experience what they describe as a festive walk that will have participants “singing the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ by the end!”

Additional information about Benches on the Avenue can be found at TinleyPark.com/Benches. The village also said that an updated brochure detailing this year’s installations will be released soon.
