The Board of Education highlighted Millennium School during its monthly meeting on May 22, as Principal Juli Cosentino presented a video celebrating student experiences. The event concluded with a juggling demonstration, which is described as a longstanding Falcon tradition enjoyed by students and their families.
Each month, one of District 140’s seven schools is featured at the Board meeting to allow students and staff to share what makes their school community unique. This practice aims to showcase the diverse achievements and traditions within the district.
Helen Keller Elementary School, another school in District 140, builds a safe and nurturing community environment to equip students with essential life skills, according to the official website. The school earned recognition as an Apple Distinguished School for 2023-26 and enrolls nearly 400 students from kindergarten through fifth grade while employing more than 80 staff members, according to the official website.
Helen Keller Elementary also focuses on fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes lifelong learning, good character, and service. It serves students in Tinley Park, Illinois and offers education for kindergarten through fifth grade with an emphasis on innovative technology and character development, according to the official website.
District officials say these presentations are part of ongoing efforts to recognize achievements across all schools in the district.
