The D140 school board honored Juliana N., a fifth-grade student at Helen Keller Elementary School, for receiving the 2026 Outstanding Student Technology Award from the Infinitec Southwest Assistive Technology Coalition during its meeting on April 16.
This recognition highlights the importance of assistive technology in supporting student learning and independence. The award is given to students who show significant progress and skill in using such technology.
Juliana was formally recognized at a ceremony held at Chicago Gaelic Park in March.
