State Representative Brad Stephens was awarded the Ambassador of Hospitality Award by the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association this week at the group’s state of the industry and awards luncheon.
The recognition highlights Stephens’ role in transforming Rosemont into a nationally recognized hub for entertainment, sports, and hospitality. According to the association, Rosemont now welcomes an average of 100,000 visitors daily.
In its statement about the award, the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association said, “Beyond his professional impact, he is a dedicated supporter of charitable organizations and community initiatives across the region, reflecting a strong commitment to service both within and beyond the hospitality industry.”
Stephens has served as a Republican member of the Illinois State House since 2019 after replacing previous state representative Michael P. McAuliffe, according to ilga.gov.
The Ambassador of Hospitality Award is given annually by IHLA to individuals who demonstrate significant contributions to hospitality in Illinois.
