The Village of Brookfield announced on Apr. 30 that the second season of the Brookfield Shops at Progress Park will begin with a ribbon cutting and grand opening event on Friday, May 8, in the Eight Corners Business District.
The event marks the start of another year for this retail incubator program, which offers six seasonal retail spaces to local entrepreneurs and artisans. The initiative aims to help small businesses launch and grow by providing real-world retail experience and fostering community connections.
This year’s vendors include 34Designed, Down to Earth Herbal Infusions, Four Star Coffee Co., Makrame Green LLC, The Shop Salon & Style House, and The Vulgar Vegan. Visitors can enjoy live music starting at 11:00 a.m., followed by remarks from Village President Michael Garvey at noon. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 12:45 p.m., after which shops will officially open for business until December with regular weekend hours.
