Illinois Wesleyan University women’s track and field athletes Imani Ogunribido and Tori Brown set new season-best marks in the triple jump at the Augustana College Midwest Twilight Qualifier on May 14.
The results are significant as both athletes improved their national rankings in Division III, with Ogunribido moving into the top spot for the triple jump after recording a mark of 12.51 meters. Brown achieved a personal best of 12.02 meters, placing her among the top-15 nationally and third all-time in Illinois Wesleyan program history.
In addition to these performances, the men’s 4×400 meter relay team—composed of Evan Lowder, Carson Green, Alex Maas, and Dylan Hodges—set a season-best time of 3:14.18 to finish sixth in their event. The competition served as an opportunity for athletes to secure qualifying marks ahead of selections for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship, which will take place from May 21 to May 23 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The list of qualifiers is expected to be released by the NCAA on Friday, May 15.
