Peotone – Bruce Edward Carstens, a dedicated accountant and active member of the Peotone community, passed away at the age of 73. Known for his love of flower gardening, the Chicago Cubs, bingo, and horse racing, Bruce was deeply involved in various charitable organizations and local programs. He will be remembered for his involvement in Tractors for a Cure and his portrayal of the Grinch during Peotone’s Christmas in the Village. A wake will be held on Thursday, June 19th, and funeral services will take place on Friday, June 20th, followed by a luncheon at the Peotone American Legion Post Hall. Bruce’s memory will live on through memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Peotone Helping Hands, Adopt a Soldier, or other charities in the Peotone community.
