Carolyn Johnson, nee Piekarski, aged 62, of the Southwest Side of Chicago, was the loving mother of Richard, devoted grandmother of Arianna and Ava, and cherished daughter of Anne and the late Walter Piekarski. She was the dearest sister of Kathleen Hughes, Nancy Block, Diane Matecki, Susan Swek, and the late Thomas Mahon, and beloved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn was the devoted fiancée of John Mahoney.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held on Sunday, July 13, starting at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Chapel Service at 4:00 p.m. at Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Homer Glen. The interment will be private.

Known for her kind and caring nature, Carolyn loved her family dearly. She cherished moments spent at the cottage with family and friends, or simply enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. Her loved ones will hold close every memory of their sweet Carolyn.
