Carpentersville Fire Department responds to garage fire on Arrow Street

The Carpentersville Fire Department responded to a garage fire at 2325 Arrow Street on April 17, quickly containing the blaze and preventing further damage to the home, according to an April 20 announcement.

The incident highlights the swift action of local firefighters in protecting residents and property. The estimated loss from the fire is $150,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fire units arrived at approximately 11:44 a.m., five minutes after receiving the report. Upon arrival, they confirmed that an active fire was involving an attached garage with some extension into the residence. Crews conducted aggressive firefighting efforts and primary searches inside the home. No occupants were found inside during either primary or secondary searches.

One neighboring resident was evaluated for possible smoke exposure but declined transport to a hospital. No firefighter injuries were reported during this incident, and the homeowner was not present at the time of the fire.

Mutual aid assistance came from Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District, Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District, West Dundee Fire Department, and East Dundee & Countryside Fire Protection District.
