Family and friends are mourning the loss of Colette B. Connolly, 81, wife of John J. Connolly for 53 years. Colette was a devoted mother to Michael Connolly, Colette Gentile, John Connolly, and Mary Connolly. She was a proud grandmother to Emma, Liam, Keira, Ryder, Kenzie, Max, Charlize, and Joelle. Colette was the daughter of the late Michael and Beatrice Ahern, and the sister of Margaret Zahrenhusen, Kevin Ahern, and Michael Ahern.

A longtime educator and nurse at Cermak Health Services of Cook County and Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Colette’s memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Michael Church in Orland Park, IL. The Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 9:30 a.m., with a livestream link available prior to the service.

Inurnment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Condolences and memories can be shared on Colette’s Tribute Wall at www.sheehyfh.com or by calling 708-857-7878. Contributions in her honor can be made by sending flowers to the family or planting a tree to commemorate Colette’s memory.
