Senator Chris Balkema and Illinois State Representative Jason Bunting announced on May 27 that they will host a free community health fair in Watseka. The event is set to take place at the Watseka School Unit 9 office, located at 1411 W. LaFayette Street, on Wednesday, June 10 from 9 a.m. until noon.

According to the announcement, local residents will have an opportunity to receive information, guides, and resources from state, county, and local service agencies during the event. The organizers said the health fair is free and open to the public.

“This event will give local residents the chance to stop by for helpful information, guides and other resources from state, county and local service agencies,” Bunting said.

Bunting was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 106th House District in 2023 after replacing previous state representative Thomas Bennett, according to Representative Bunting’s office.

The organizers encourage all members of the community to attend.
