Darla S. Kirchner, 66, passed away on June 21, 2025, at her home. Born on June 4, 1959, in Kankakee to Darris and Birdie Turner Ayers, she married Michael W. Kirchner in 1994. Darla was a manager at Riverwood Apartments and a graduate of Westview High School.
Survived by her husband Michael Kirchner, son Shawn Perkins, daughter Dawn Burnett, and grandson Zachary Perkins. Preceded in death by her parents, son Thomas Burnett, and sisters Marilyn, Brenda, and Karla. Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services, with cremation rites accorded.
Arrangements by Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. Darla will be remembered for her dedication to her work and her cherished family.
