David “Buddy” Knox, aged 80, passed away, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was the beloved husband of Trudy E. Knox (nee Collins) and the loving father of Karen (Robert) Jennings and Kris (Neil) Hartman. David was the adored grandfather of Devin, Christian, Rachel, Jacob, Addison, and Raegan. He was the proud son of the late David Sr. and Josephine (nee Caponegri) Knox and the dear brother of the late Patricia (James) Carroll. David was a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews and an adored cousin to numerous relatives.

Known for his love of dancing, karaoke, and spending time with friends and family, David also enjoyed golfing, winters in Florida and Arizona, and following all sports, particularly the Chicago Cubs.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to Wounded Warriors at 230 W. Monroe St. Suite 200, Chicago, IL, 60606.
