The Lincolnshire Prairie View School District 103 Board of Education recognized the district’s parent organizations, the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and Learning Fund Foundation, for their support during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, according to an April 23 announcement.
The recognition highlights the important role volunteers play in supporting students, staff, and parents. The PTO and Learning Fund Foundation organize educational events for students and staff throughout the year, sponsor field trips and musical performances, provide supplies and equipment, volunteer in classrooms and other settings, and raise funds to support teachers and the district.
“During National Volunteer Week, we want to express our gratitude to our PTO and LFF for their incredible support,” Katie Reynolds, Deputy Superintendent said during a school board meeting where the groups were recognized. “You give your time, energy, and talents so generously, and it truly makes a difference for our students and staff every single day…What stands out most is the care and pride you bring to our schools. You show up, pitch in, and go the extra mile—often behind the scenes—just to make things better for the students and staff. We want you to know that kind of commitment doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s something we are deeply grateful for,” Reynolds said.
