Dolores M. Despot, nee Niedzwiecki, aged 95, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and family devotion. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore “Ted” Despot (2003). Dolores was a loving mother to Susan (Howard) Webb, Cynthia (Jerry) Slechta, and Sandra (Ralph) Gabrys. She was a cherished grandmother to Kristin (Michael) Moody, Marc Slechta, Samantha (Patrick) Major, Stephanie Gabrys, and Jason Slechta. Dolores was a dearest great-grandmother to Brynn Moody, Emma Major, and Jacob Major. She is survived by Vincent Niedzwiecki and was preceded in death by Jacqueline Niedzwiecki. Dolores was a friend to many.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, proceeding to St. Julie Billiart Church in Tinley Park for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
