The Illinois College men’s tennis team saw Andrus Dupre and Grayson Dupre win consolation championships during the final day of the Midwest Conference Individual Tournament, held Sunday, Apr. 26 at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

The event is part of regular-season and postseason play for Illinois College Blue Boys Tennis, which competes in NCAA Division III and the Midwest Conference according to the official website. Andrus Dupre claimed his title at No. 5 singles with an 8-3 victory over Chase Sims from Monmouth. His twin brother Grayson won the No. 6 flight by defeating Alfanso Mares from Monmouth, 8-2. In other singles action for Illinois College (IC), Adi Basic fell to Caleb Sipple of Ripon by a score of 8-2 in his consolation final.

In doubles play, IC’s top pair—Basic and Jeff Wernsing—lost to Ripon’s Austin Stevens and Sipple with a score of 8-4 in their championship match within the consolation bracket.
