East Alton School District 13 announced on April 27 that all after-school and evening activities are canceled for Monday, April 27, due to a forecast of severe weather.

The decision was made as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff. The district stated that the ESP program will remain open but encouraged parents to pick up their children as soon as possible. All after-school practices, clubs, and evening events are canceled, while regular dismissal and transportation will continue as scheduled.

“We will continue to monitor weather conditions and will communicate any additional updates through our normal communication channels. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe,” the district said in its statement.
