Eastern Illinois University announces 2026 home football game times

Eastern Illinois University announced on May 6 the kickoff times for its five home football games during the 2026 season at O’Brien Field.

The announcement comes as the university prepares for another season, providing fans and students with important scheduling details. Season ticket renewals and sales are set to begin on Monday, June 1 through EIUPanthers.com.

After starting the season with two away games against Murray State and Minnesota, Eastern Illinois will play its first home game against Indiana State on Saturday, Sept. 12. The matchup is scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff under the lights.

Three consecutive home games will take place in October and November, all beginning at 2 p.m. The Panthers will host Lindenwood on Oct. 17, Southeast Missouri on Oct. 24 (Homecoming), and Western Illinois on Nov. 7 (Family Weekend). The final home game of the season is set for Nov. 21 against Charleston Southern with a noon kickoff.

All Eastern Illinois home football games in the upcoming season will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The university’s early release of these dates aims to help supporters plan ahead for key matchups throughout the fall.
