Eastern Illinois University released its schedule of athletic events for the week of May 4-10, according to a May 4 announcement. The university outlined upcoming competitions in softball, baseball, and outdoor track.
The schedule highlights several key matchups and tournaments for EIU teams. Softball will compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament beginning Thursday, May 7 in Peoria, Illinois. Additional games are scheduled throughout the week with times to be announced as teams advance.
Baseball will host Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at Frost Field at Coaches Stadium on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Game times are set for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 5 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.
Outdoor track athletes will participate in the Indiana State Sycamore Open on Friday, May 8 starting at 11 a.m. Looking ahead to the following week, EIU’s outdoor track team is scheduled to compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships from Thursday through Saturday in Little Rock, Arkansas.
