A new electric water tram service will begin operating across the Bay of Puck on May 16, offering an alternative way for visitors to travel between Puck, Swarzewo and Chałupy.

The initiative aims to provide a scenic and eco-friendly transportation option for both tourists and locals. The route is expected to enhance the experience of exploring one of Northern Poland’s coastal areas, known for its beaches and waterfront views.

According to the announcement, the electric water tram will run three to four times daily throughout the summer season. Tickets are priced at PLN 25 for a one-way trip, with discounts available for children, seniors, and passengers with disabilities. Bicycle transport can be added for approximately PLN 10 per journey.

Journey times vary depending on the segment: it takes about 45 minutes from Puck to Chałupy, around 20 minutes from Chałupy to Swarzewo, and roughly 25 minutes from Swarzewo back to Puck. Organizers say that allowing bicycles on board makes it easier for travelers who want to combine cycling with their trip along the coast.

The project highlights an effort to reduce road congestion while providing a memorable travel experience along the Baltic coast. The combination of city attractions in Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot with new transport options like this water tram may appeal especially during peak tourist season.
