Emirates NBD announced on April 16 the successful completion of a $250 million syndicated term loan, known as Project Radium II, for Dar Global plc. The financing is intended to support the luxury real estate developer’s growth and expansion in key global markets.

The agreement is significant as it highlights Emirates NBD’s role in providing large-scale syndicated financing solutions to regional and international real estate developers amid continued activity in global property markets.

Emirates NBD Capital acted as Joint Lead Coordinator, Bookrunner, and Sole Documentation Agent for the transaction. The bank said this funding will enable Dar Global to accelerate existing projects and develop new properties internationally. Ahmed Al Qassim, Group Head of Wholesale Banking at Emirates NBD, said: “This transaction reinforces the confidence that global institutions place in Emirates NBD’s ability to originate and execute large-scale syndicated financings. The strong participation from a broad group of lenders reflects our network’s wide distribution and ongoing interest in real estate-linked credit. We are pleased to have structured a deal aligned with Dar Global’s business ambitions, underscoring our commitment to delivering tailored financing solutions that support sustained growth of the luxury real estate sector across major global markets.”

The loan was executed with coordination from other regional banks and is structured to provide flexibility for Dar Global’s future financial needs. Ziad El Chaar, Chief Executive Officer of Dar Global, said: “This financing, structured with Emirates NBD, brings together a solid group of financial institutions supporting Dar Global’s continued growth. It enhances our liquidity and provides us with flexibility to drive current projects while maintaining a disciplined approach toward new opportunities. As a London-listed platform with a global portfolio, access to diversified funding sources remains fundamental to our strategy as we expand into key international markets.”
