The Farm Profit Manager platform surpassed one million acres enrolled by producers in just ten days, reaching 500 users across 23 states, according to an announcement on Apr. 28. The rapid adoption was discussed on a recent episode of the Top Producer Podcast, where Shay Foulk of Ag View Solutions and Paul Neiffer addressed how artificial intelligence and software integrations are changing farm business management.
This development signals a shift in agriculture from manual data entry toward real-time management powered by AI. Industry observers say this move could impact how farmers make financial decisions throughout the year rather than relying solely on end-of-year accounting.
Foulk said, “The tool will tell you numbers, you can get the numbers right seven ways to Sunday, but what matters is the decisions that you make out of it.” He explained that platforms like Farm Profit Manager allow farmers to see their true cost per acre and per unit more clearly. The software includes twenty reporting tools such as cash flow statements, balance sheets, and lender reports—tasks that previously took farms days or were often left undone. “These are things that farms would spend days doing or they just wouldn’t do, frankly,” Foulk said.
To increase accessibility for producers, Ag View Solutions offers the core Farm Profit Manager at no cost. “Farmers have been asking for exactly this—a trusted, no-frills tool that doesn’t lock them into expensive subscriptions,” Foulk said. Optional paid integrations with John Deere Ops Center for machinery data, QuickBooks Online for financial records, and Plaid for banking information help automate data entry tasks.
Foulk also highlighted how sharing permitted data points with lenders and advisors improves advisory relationships: “Think of the power that that can have to improve that relationship [with lenders].” Additionally, he described using AI agents as a “virtual board of directors” to provide feedback on HR or marketing decisions: “AI is kind of the next step in that progression in my opinion,” Foulk said. “It’s here. And you’re either using it or you’re not.”
