Advanced Crane Services LLC will close Fifth Street between Green Street and John Street on April 21 to install rooftop equipment at 501 E. Green Street, according to an announcement made on April 20. The closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.

The temporary road closure aims to facilitate the safe and efficient installation of the new rooftop equipment. This measure is necessary for both public safety and the timely completion of construction work in the area.

During this period, through traffic will not be permitted along Fifth Street in the affected block. However, access will be maintained for all local properties, ensuring that residents and businesses can still reach their destinations despite the closure.

The company said it plans to reopen the street as soon as possible once work is complete or if weather conditions delay operations.

Residents are encouraged to plan alternate routes during these hours and stay alert for posted detours or updates regarding potential changes due to weather.
