Five Millikin University baseball players were named to the 2026 Academic All-District Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom, according to a June 2 announcement from Millikin University.

The honorees from Millikin for NCAA Division III include sophomore pitcher Caleb Akins, a Biology (Pre-Med) major; sophomore infielder Pete Britton, a Finance major; sophomore pitcher Matthew Brummer, a Biology/Chemistry major; senior outfielder Sam Bushur, a Finance major; and sophomore infielder Nolan Reiman, a Nursing major. To be eligible for this recognition, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and be significant contributors to their team.

Akins was also selected for consideration to the CSC Academic All-America Team. The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America program recognizes honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs receive partial financial support from the NCAA national governance structures to assist with awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially supported through its own governance structure.
