Frankfort, IL – Joan P. Hanson, 83, of Frankfort, IL, formally of New Lenox, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025, at her home in Frankfort. Joan is survived by her loving family: children William (Nancy) Jennings, Jodi (Dan) Sheahan, Judi (Mike) Janovic; grandchildren Katie and Will Jennings, Madeline (Jesus Salomon), John, Emily (Spencer Liebermann), Sophie, Allison Sheahan, Ryan (Alexis Eccles), and Kyle Janovic; sister Susan Ruether and her nieces and nephews Mike (Heidi), John, and Michelle Seklecki.

She was preceded in death by her husband Garrick Hanson.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be held at 11:00 a.m., with interment immediately following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421.
