Gerald Edward “Gerry” Kilbride, aged 87, of Kankakee, passed away on July 26, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on February 6, 1938, in Kankakee, he was the son of Edward and Gertrude Kilbride. Gerry was united in marriage to Judy L. Romary on July 29, 1961, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was an accomplished Certified Public Accountant and Manager, as well as the owner of Eastcourt Village. Gerry, a graduate of St. Patrick Central High School, received his BS from Northern Illinois University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He was actively involved in various organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, the YMCA, the National Handball Association, and the Army National Guard. Known for his passion for sports, Gerry was a devoted Chicago Bulls fan and season ticket holder for over 55 years.

A parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, Gerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judy Kilbride; six children, seventeen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Remembered as a loving father, committed community member, and avid sports enthusiast, Gerry’s memory will be carried on by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, with a funeral Mass following on Monday, August 4, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gerry will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Donations in his honor can be made to Holly’s House of Hope for Autism and other Disabilities.
