Gertrude “Gertie” Zukowski, nee Labus, aged 81 and a resident of Homer Glen, was a loving and devoted wife to both the late Bernard Zukowski and the late Kenneth “Bud” Pankow. She is cherished as the mother of Bernie Zukowski, Christopher, and Barb Swanson. Gertrude’s devotion extended to her role as grandmother to Courtney Aguilar, Emily Beland, Nick Beland, Hunter Zukowski, Alyssa Zukowski, Kayla Zukowski, and great-grandmother to Alex Aguilar. She was a dear sister to Aggie Williams, Josie Stoecker, and was survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 20, commencing at 2:00 PM at RICHARD J. MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES in Homer Glen, with a Chapel Service following at 6:00 PM. The interment will be held privately.

Gertrude “Gertie” Zukowski will be remembered for her love, devotion, and the impact she had on those fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace.
