Phase II of the Global Sources Hong Kong Shows opened at AsiaWorld-Expo on April 18, bringing together more than 2,000 suppliers across nearly 4,000 booths and featuring about 150,000 new products in areas such as mobile devices, smart wearables, augmented reality/virtual reality, smart home solutions, and personal healthcare. The event will run for four days through April 21.

The show highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in consumer electronics. John Kao, Vice President of Hong Kong Shows & Overseas Shows at Global Sources, said: “AI is moving from concept to mass production — the wave of technology reshaping products has arrived. The biggest change at this year’s show is that AI is no longer confined to a standalone tech zone; it has permeated virtually every product category, from smart wearables and home security to personal healthcare. AI has become the core driving force behind product upgrades. For global buyers, this is a pivotal opportunity to lock in future product trends and uncover new growth opportunities.”

A key feature this year is the debut of an expanded “AI Pavilion” with over 1,200 booths dedicated to market-ready AI products spanning seven segments including terminal devices and humanoid robots now entering commercial use. The exhibition also includes the “Physical.ai Lab,” which showcases humanoid robots and other advanced robotics applications now moving beyond virtual environments into real-world scenarios.

The event also hosts several innovation awards such as the “AI Innovation Award” for outstanding uses of artificial intelligence technology in consumer electronics. In partnership with the European Product Design Award (EPDA), it presents honors for design excellence across multiple categories.

Alongside exhibitions are summits like AIRS (AI & Robotics Summit), which bring together industry experts discussing topics such as retail markets driven by AI and next-generation technology innovations. Live demonstrations include performances by robot bands and displays of advanced robotic motion capabilities.

To improve sourcing efficiency for buyers attending from around the world—including many new participants from Western Europe, ASEAN countries, Japan and others—the show offers upgraded business matching services both online and onsite.
