Local governments serving Highland Park announced on April 22 that they will hold a series of neighborhood meetings for residents this spring. The meetings are scheduled for April 29 at Heller Nature Center, May 13 at the Highland Park Senior Center, and June 8 at Edgewood Middle School.

The purpose of these meetings is to give community members an opportunity to discuss priorities, interact with staff and elected officials, and provide input on local issues. The City of Highland Park is organizing the events along with North Shore School District 112, Township High School District 113, the Park District of Highland Park, Highland Park Public Library, Moraine Township, Lake County, and other government entities serving the area.

According to the announcement, each year these neighborhood gatherings aim to strengthen communication between residents and their local government representatives. Residents can share feedback directly with officials from multiple agencies during these sessions.

Meetings will be held at different locations across the city to encourage broad participation: Heller Nature Center on April 29 at 3 p.m., Highland Park Senior Center on May 13 at 3 p.m., and Edgewood Middle School on June 8 at 7 p.m.

Organizers invite all interested community members to sign up in advance if they wish to attend any of the scheduled meetings.
