House Education and Workforce Committee to hold field hearing on NCAA enforcement in Memphis

The House Committee on Education and Workforce, chaired by Representative Tim Walberg, announced on May 29 that it will hold a field hearing in Memphis, Tennessee, focused on accountability and transparency in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) enforcement.

The hearing, titled “Calling the Fouls: Accountability and Transparency in NCAA Enforcement,” is scheduled for Friday, June 12 at 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time. It will take place at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law located at 1 North Front Street, Third Floor – Historic Moot Courtroom, Memphis.

Credentialed media planning to cover the event are required to RSVP to Audra.McGeorge@mail.house.gov. The hearing is open to the press and will be live-streamed on the committee’s YouTube page.

The House Education and Workforce Committee manages federal programs concerning education, labor, health and workforce development; influences policy on issues such as student loans and worker protections; and serves in the legislative sector with jurisdiction over education and labor matters, according to the official website.
