The Illinois Bar Association announced on Apr. 29 that it will hold a live online seminar titled “Cybersecurity for Healthcare Law Firms: Risk, Compliance, and Client Trust” on May 20 from 2:00 to 3:05 p.m. The event offers one hour of MCLE credit and is designed for health care lawyers, privacy practitioners, and mental health attorneys.

The webcast aims to address the growing cybersecurity risks facing law firms in the healthcare sector. Participants will learn about practical tools and strategies needed to protect their firms, safeguard client data, and meet evolving legal obligations. Topics include evaluating cybersecurity insurance coverage, understanding procurement processes, trends in claims and losses, as well as handling data breaches from immediate response through long-term mitigation.
