These wins mark the final non-conference games of the regular season for Illinois College, which now holds an overall record of 24-10. In Game 1, both teams remained scoreless until Illinois College broke through with five runs in the fifth inning. Key plays included Gabby Miller stealing third base and scoring on an error, Alivia Darbe hitting a solo home run, Shelby Seiler delivering an RBI triple, Brooke Loveall contributing an RBI single, and Ezzy Mauermann adding an RBI double. The Lady Blues added three more runs in the sixth inning to end the game early by run rule. Game 2 saw Illinois College take an early lead when Kendall Cole singled home Miller in the first inning. Additional runs came from Maddie Adams’ RBI single and hits by Megan Doolittle and Halie Williams during a three-run sixth inning. Cambria Currie pitched five innings for the win while Avery Fritz earned her first save of the year over two innings.
