The Illinois College men’s golf team competed in the Black Hawk Community College Invitational at TPC Deere Run on April 16, a tournament shortened to one day and 18 holes due to weather conditions.
The event was reduced from its original format because of course conditions, with teams playing only a single round. The Blueboys finished ninth overall with a team score of 304, which was 24 over par on the par-70 course. Teddy Walbaum led Illinois College by shooting a two-over-par 72, tying for twelfth place individually. Emmitt Brokaw followed closely with a score of 74, tying for nineteenth place in the field.
Other contributors included Myles Kampwerth, who carded a 76 to tie for twenty-ninth place, and AJ Odle, who posted an eighty-two. Drake Bartos completed the team lineup with an eighty-three. Competing as individuals were Isaac Anderson and Zach Diekemper; Anderson shot seventy-seven while Diekemper recorded an eighty-one among ninety-seven participants.
