Illinois College men’s tennis falls to Greenville in regular season finale

The Illinois College men’s tennis team lost 6-1 to Greenville on April 21 in its final regular season match at the Scott J. Burgess Tennis Complex.

This match ended a three-match winning streak for Illinois College, bringing their overall record to 13-9. The result sets the stage for the team’s participation in postseason play.

Greenville secured all three doubles matches, with Illinois College’s No. 1 pair of Jeff Wernsing and Adi Basic winning two games in their set. In singles competition, Greenville won five out of six matches. Grayson Dupre earned the only point for Illinois College with a straight-set victory at No. 6 singles, finishing 6-3, 6-3.

Illinois College Blue Boys Tennis competes in NCAA Division III and participates in the Midwest Conference as part of its regular-season and postseason schedule, according to the official website.
