The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is accepting applications for a senior regional counsel position in Peoria, according to an announcement on Apr. 27.

The department reports that the open role is for a public service administrator who will serve as senior regional counsel at its Peoria office. The anticipated starting salary ranges from $9,167 to $10,500 per month, with applications due by May 19. Responsibilities include interviewing witnesses, evaluating cases involving court actions or expunctions, advising field staff on legal matters, consulting on termination of parental rights cases, and serving as liaison to judiciary and court personnel across multiple counties. Applicants must have a valid license to practice law in Illinois and at least three years of legal experience.
