In 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) carried out inspections at 53 device companies located in Illinois.
Western Springs has begun its scheduled update of the local tree inventory with help from Advanced Tree Care. Residents may see workers assessing trees along public areas as part of this process. The effort supports ongoing management under the Urban Forestry Management Plan.
Illinois is marking America’s 250th anniversary with a new ‘Passport to Illinois’ highlighting key historic sites across the state. Representative Kevin Schmidt urges residents to participate by reflecting on shared values and exploring local landmarks.
