Tommy Schaefer, a 32-year-old from Chicago, has been returned to the United States to face federal charges in connection with the 2014 murder of Sheila Von Weise, an American citizen, in Bali, Indonesia.
A Rockford resident, Stephen Canfield, 54, has been sentenced to six years and three months in federal prison after being convicted of possessing child pornography.
A federal grand jury in Chicago has indicted Jesus Omar Ibarra Felix, an alleged leader of the Sinaloa Cartel in Mexico, on charges related to drugs, firearms, and providing material support to terrorism.
