The Delta Omega Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon at Illinois State University earned third place in the Lewis F. Gordon Top Gold Chapter award, the fraternity announced on Apr. 21. This achievement marks the chapter’s highest national ranking to date for its performance during the 2025 operating year.

The recognition highlights Delta Omega’s continued growth and success within Pi Sigma Epsilon, a national professional fraternity specializing in sales, marketing, and management. The annual National Convention was held from March 25-27, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia, with Illinois State represented by 27 members.

Pi Sigma Epsilon evaluates chapters using a points-based system that awards Gold status to top performers. The Delta Omega Chapter achieved this status for only the fourth time since its founding in 1992—previously earning it in 2008, 2022, and 2024.

In addition to their third-place finish overall, Delta Omega won first place for Top Social Media Strategy and Top Sales/Marketing Project – Not for Profit. The latter recognized their collaboration with Alpha Gamma Delta sorority to host Reggie Games for the Illinois State community in spring of last year. The chapter was also named finalist in eight other categories including professional development and recruitment programs.

Individual members received several honors as well: Dennis Papafotopoulos was awarded the President’s Award for Special Merit – Inspiration; Luke Read received the President’s Award for Special Merit – Alumni Engagement; Emily Stanley earned the Trenton Haack Memorial Scholarship; Angeline Manalo and Giavana Escobedo were both given Future Leaders awards and scholarships; Andrew Hummel was installed as Collegiate Vice President on Pi Sigma Epsilon’s National Council representing more than 3,000 collegiate members across over fifty chapters nationwide.

Papafotopoulos and Manalo were selected by PSE National Headquarters to lead professional development sessions open to all attendees at the convention. Their presentations focused on personality types at work environments and online personal branding respectively.

Since its establishment at Illinois State University in 1992, Delta Omega has offered students opportunities for professional growth through networking events and volunteer initiatives.
