Illinois State Representative Mike Coffey announced on May 22 that he is inviting constituents to subscribe to his newsletter for information about policy discussions and community issues from the Capitol.

The initiative aims to keep residents informed by sending updates directly to their inboxes, including outreach events, public meetings, and behind-the-scenes news. Coffey said, “I want to keep my constituents informed about policy discussions and community issues coming out of the Capitol. I will send updates directly to your inbox about outreach events, public meetings, behind-the-scenes news and more.”

Coffey was elected as a Republican in 2023 to represent Illinois’s 95th House District, replacing previous state representative Tim Butler, according to the Illinois General Assembly.

By launching this newsletter effort, Coffey seeks to improve communication between his office and district residents. The focus on regular updates reflects an effort by local lawmakers to ensure transparency and engagement with the communities they serve.

Looking ahead, constituents are encouraged by Coffey’s office to sign up for the newsletter in order to stay connected with legislative activities and opportunities for involvement.
