The Illinois Wesleyan University men’s tennis team is set to begin its final week of regular season play with a home match against Elmhurst University on April 20, followed by an away match at Millikin University on April 21.

These matches mark the conclusion of the Titans’ regular season schedule in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The games are significant as they will help determine conference standings and postseason opportunities for the team, which competes at the NCAA Division III level according to the official website.

Illinois Wesleyan (8-8, 0-4 CCIW) most recently lost to Augustana College. Senior Ben Vigneri earned a win at No. 1 singles with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 over Santiago Diaz. Elmhurst enters Monday’s contest with an overall record of 0-7 and is winless in league play this season. The Titans have won their last five meetings against Elmhurst, including a shutout victory on April 5, 2025, where doubles teams Ian Turnbull and Ryan McCoy; Griffin Hammond and Thad Dillow; Chase Tomecki and Sebastian Rasquin all secured wins. Singles victories from Turnbull, Vigneri, McCoy, Dillow, Hammond, and Tomecki contributed to that result.

Millikin (13-7, 2-0 CCIW) has dropped its last two matches but split results with Illinois Wesleyan in their previous two encounters: IWU won in Decatur on April 6, 2024 by a score of 6-3 after sweeping doubles competition while Millikin claimed victory on April 16, 2025.

Home matches for Illinois Wesleyan take place at Evergreen Racquet Club or Beadles-Morse Courts according to the official website. The program features student-athletes from freshman through senior years as part of its intercollegiate athletics activities within NCAA Division III membership. Results from both upcoming matches will be posted online following completion.
