The Illinois Wesleyan University men’s volleyball team announced its 2026 season team awards and letterwinners at the annual banquet held on April 22.
The announcement highlights the achievements of student-athletes across all undergraduate class years, as recognized by head coach Brandon Mueller, who leads the program according to the official website. Sophomore Ethan Kuziela was named Most Valuable Player after becoming the program’s first American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American with first team honors. He also received AVCA All-Region and First Team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin recognition. Kuziela set new season records for kills, assists, average assists per set, and tied with teammate Ben Zima for most sets and matches played during a single season. He was honored multiple times throughout his sophomore year including five CCIW Setter of the Week titles, one CCIW Hitter of the Week award, and became only the second Titan to be named AVCA National Player of the Week.
Other award recipients included sophomore Wilson Spaulding who earned Most Improved after moving from limited play as a freshman to securing a starting position this year. Sophomore Gavin Rohlwing led in blocks for his second consecutive “Brick Wall” award while sophomore Charlie Bialek was recognized with Titan Strength for dedication in training. Thirteen student-athletes were awarded letters; twelve are expected to return next season.
