The Illinois Wesleyan University softball team received seven All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) selections and two specialty awards as announced by the league office on May 6. The Titans, who are the CCIW Regular Season Champions, had more honorees than any other team in the conference.

This recognition highlights the team’s performance during the season. The program competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, according to the official website.

Senior Gianna Certa was named CCIW Pitcher of the Year for a second time in her career, marking her as one of three Titans to earn this distinction multiple times. She posted an 8-0 record in conference play with a 0.71 earned run average over 49 innings. Certa also threw a no-hitter against Carroll on April 25 with a career-high 11 strikeouts.

Other first team selections included seniors Casey Wissmiller and Claire Post, along with sophomore Jillian Bollard. Three players—sophomores Grace Wilkens and Kelsey Bartels, and senior Anna Beckman—were named to the second team. Wissmiller achieved All-CCIW status for a fourth time while Post received it for a third time.

Illinois Wesleyan’s coaching staff was recognized as Coaching Staff of the Year for a fourth consecutive season. Junior Parker Cash was honored with IWU’s CCIW RESPECT Award recipient designation.

The Titans host games at Inspiration Field in Bloomington, Illinois, where they will hold this year’s six-team CCIW Tournament from May 7–9. The full tournament schedule is available on their central page online.
