The Illinois Wesleyan University track and field teams earned seven event titles during the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 2 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Senior Adriana Crabtree won two championships and broke two meet records, leading a group of student-athletes who secured a total of 45 All-CCIW honors over the weekend.
The competition is significant as it showcases top performances from student-athletes representing their universities within the conference. The Titans’ achievements highlight both individual excellence and team depth as they prepare for potential participation in national competitions.
Crabtree was named the CCIW’s Female Track Student-Athlete of the Meet after breaking her own program record in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:10.74, surpassing previous records set by Sarahbeth Jones in 2013 and Katie North in 2021. Junior Imani Ogunribido claimed her third consecutive CCIW Championship title in women’s triple jump with an effort of 11.99 meters, while freshman Tori Brown placed third with a season-best jump.
On the men’s side, junior Mackenzie Huber and sophomore Jacob Pinkston swept victories in the 800 meters for both indoor and outdoor seasons. The men’s relay team—Evan Lowder, Carson Green, Alex Maas, and Dylan Hodges—won the final event with a time of 3:19.32. Several other athletes achieved personal bests or podium finishes across various events throughout the meet.
